The Humpback Giants
Humpback whales migrate to Ecuador’s coast from June to October. Experience two unforgettable whale tours: one near El Faro, Salinas, and another in Machalilla National Park.
Participants also visit La Chocolateria, the top land-based whale viewing location, and enjoy a guided tour of the Museo de Ballenas.
A Bird Lover’s Paradise
The Santa Elena Peninsula combines coastal and wetland habitats. The Ecuasal-Salinas Lagoons are Ecuador’s first migratory bird refuge and a key conservation area.
About 140 species of seabirds and shorebirds travel through the region each year, with most arrivals from June to October.
